Abstract

The article introduces a new model predictive current control strategy for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSMs) that leverages an extended control set and dynamic cost function. The strategy aims to overcome the limitations of conventional control methods by increasing the number of candidate voltage vectors and optimizing switching times. The extended control set includes virtual voltage vectors, which improve control performance and mitigate the effects of model parameter fluctuations. Additionally, the dynamic cost function, based on fuzzy logic, adjusts weighting factors in real-time to optimize control performance under various operating conditions. The proposed strategy is validated through simulations and experiments, demonstrating improved dynamic response, reduced current ripples, and optimized switching times. This article provides a comprehensive solution for enhancing the efficiency and robustness of PMSM control systems.
