Abstract

The article introduces a novel interleaved Zeta–Cuk converter designed to boost the voltage of photovoltaic (PV) systems and electric vehicles. The converter combines the advantages of both Zeta and Cuk converters, delivering continuous input current and minimizing ripples, which are crucial for Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) operations. The proposed converter is controlled by a Cascaded Radial Basis Function Neural Network (RBFNN) MPPT technique, which enhances the converter's efficiency and reliability. The article also presents detailed simulations and experimental results, demonstrating the superior performance of the proposed converter under dynamic operating conditions. The research highlights the importance of modernizing power electronic converters to achieve energy efficiency and carbon neutrality, making it a valuable read for specialists in power electronics and renewable energy systems.
