Abstract

This chapter delves into the design and analysis of a parallel 18-pulse rectifier based on electronic phase transformers, focusing on reducing the volume and weight of traditional transformers. The study explores the topology and working principles of the rectifier, highlighting its efficiency and reliability. Simulation results using MATLAB demonstrate the effectiveness of the design, showing a significant reduction in Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) and improved power density. The chapter also discusses the potential applications of this technology in various industries, emphasizing its advantages over conventional power frequency transformers.
