Abstract

In an era of rapid digitization, the protection of sensitive digital information has become paramount. This article addresses the critical need for secure and robust watermarking methods to safeguard images and videos from unauthorized access and duplication. The proposed method utilizes evolutionary optimization to determine the best embedding parameters, ensuring that watermarks are both imperceptible and resilient to attacks. The article explores the advantages of frequency domain watermarking over spatial domain techniques, highlighting the superior robustness and image quality preservation offered by the former. It also delves into the challenges of selecting optimal embedding locations in the frequency domain, presenting a solution that balances robustness, imperceptibility, and capacity. The proposed watermarking scheme is evaluated through extensive experiments, demonstrating its effectiveness in maintaining high structural similarity and peak signal-to-noise ratio even under adverse conditions. The article concludes with a comparative analysis, showcasing the proposed method's superiority over existing approaches and its potential applications in emerging technologies such as the Internet of Medical Things.
