Abstract

The chapter introduces a novel simulation platform designed to assess the status of vibration sensors in power grids, crucial for maintaining stable operations. It begins by highlighting the importance of vibration monitoring in power systems and the challenges posed by existing fault diagnosis methods. The authors establish a model of vibration sensors, simulating their operation under normal and fault conditions using a mass-spring-damping system. The platform, built on Simulink, simulates various sensor failures and evaluates sensor status using wavelet analysis and advanced regression algorithms like BP neural networks and Support Vector Regression. The platform's effectiveness is demonstrated through tests on different fault types, showcasing its ability to accurately detect and analyze sensor status changes. This comprehensive approach offers a significant advancement in vibration sensor status evaluation, promising improved reliability and efficiency in power grid operations.
