Abstract

This paper aims at identifying organizational requirements through a staged strategy for purchasing information and computer technology ICT for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the freight management and logistics industry, and providing a framework to guide the acquisition process. Using the SME as an example case study, the strategy assisted management in the need analysis process and in identifying critical criteria for the best fit solution between the firm’s requirements and functionality of the selected strategy.
