Abstract

This chapter explores the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in addressing key challenges in Indian agriculture, with a focus on crop irrigation and social enterprises. The study identifies the critical role of AI in crop monitoring and management, utilizing satellite images, drones, and other remote sensing technologies to deliver real-time data and insights. It highlights the application of machine learning algorithms such as Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs), and Decision Trees for crop identification and classification, achieving high accuracy and low error rates. The chapter also delves into crop irrigation optimization, employing algorithms like K-Means Clustering and Gradient Boosting Machines to improve water use efficiency and crop yields. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of these AI-driven innovations in promoting agricultural productivity, sustainability, and resilience. By providing actionable insights and decision-support tools, these technologies enable efficient resource management, risk mitigation, and improved crop yields, making them invaluable for farmers and social enterprises alike.
