ISO/IEC 18000-6C has been used in different applications and comes in myriad of forms today. The UHF RFID reader based on the ISO/IEC 18000-6C standard has been discussed in this paper. The reader’s key issues of RFID reader’s architecture and baseband design are studied. The proposed FPGA based baseband platform could implement physical layer and tag-identification layer. This form of baseband design can efficiently reduce the design time and development cost, FPGA could meet the complex requirement and flexiable apply to different standards.
