Abstract

The article explores the synthesis and characterization of La2-xDyxMgTiO6 perovskite phosphors using a combustion method for white LED applications. Traditional lighting sources like mercury-containing fluorescent lamps are being replaced by solid-state lighting (SSL) due to environmental concerns. The study focuses on the advantages of combustion synthesis, which requires lower temperature and time compared to conventional solid-state methods. The authors demonstrate that the combustion method produces homogeneous nanopowders with improved luminescence properties, making them suitable for white light emission in LEDs. The article highlights the potential of these phosphors to replace conventional YAG:Ce3+ phosphors, offering a more environmentally friendly and cost-effective solution for lighting applications.
