Abstract

The article introduces an advanced self-balanced seven-level inverter topology that utilizes symmetrical capacitors to achieve voltage boosting without the need for additional controllers. The proposed inverter is designed to integrate seamlessly into existing power systems, offering improved performance in terms of reduced harmonic distortion and enhanced power distribution. The design and operational principles of the inverter are detailed, along with a comparative analysis highlighting its advantages over other multilevel inverter topologies. The article also includes a thorough analysis of capacitor charging and discharging, switching patterns, and power loss calculations, supported by simulation and experimental results. The proposed inverter shows promising performance in terms of efficiency and power quality, making it a viable option for high-power applications.
