Abstract

The article discusses the integration of GRU-based controllers in PV-UPQC systems to improve power quality in microgrids. Traditional control methods face limitations in handling dynamic load variations and power quality issues. The GRU network controller, combined with PDO-ANFIS for DC bus voltage regulation, offers adaptability and precision, effectively mitigating voltage irregularities and harmonics. The proposed approach is validated through MATLAB simulations and hardware prototyping, demonstrating superior performance in maintaining power quality and stability under varying conditions. The research highlights the potential of advanced control strategies in enhancing the reliability and sustainability of grid-connected microgrids.
