Abstract

The article explores the manipulation of Bacillus subtilis bioparticles using atomic force microscopy (AFM) and finite element method. It delves into the dynamics behavior of these bioparticles during manipulation, employing nonlinear Euler–Bernoulli beam theory. The study compares different contact models, including JKR and Lundberg, to simulate the manipulation process accurately. Experimental data, such as adhesion force and Young's modulus, are used to validate the simulation results. The research highlights the importance of aspect ratio in particle manipulation and demonstrates the application of advanced modeling techniques in bioparticle manipulation.
