Abstract

The article delves into the challenges of enzyme stability and activity at normal temperatures, emphasizing the importance of enzyme immobilization for industrial applications. It explores the synthesis of dual-responsive copolymers through RAFT polymerization, combining pH and temperature-responsive monomers. The study focuses on the creation of a copolymer named [PAMPS-co-PDMA-co-PUD]-b-PNIPAM (ADUN), which forms micelle structures under specific pH and temperature conditions, enhancing enzyme stability and activity. The research involves a detailed synthesis process, comprehensive characterization using techniques such as FT-IR, XRD, TGA, GPC, and DLS, and kinetic studies to evaluate enzyme activity. The article highlights the potential of these dual-responsive copolymers in preserving enzyme functionality over extended storage periods, making it a valuable resource for those interested in enzyme engineering and biocatalysis.
