Abstract

The article introduces a novel approach for accurate strain gauge positioning in structural testing, addressing the limitations of traditional manual methods. By leveraging geometry and color features, the method significantly enhances the recognition and positioning of strain gauges, leading to improved measurement accuracy. The method involves using a single camera to capture images, employing borderline extraction and color clustering for recognition, and utilizing epipolar geometry for matching and coordinate transformation. The results demonstrate high accuracy and reliability, making this method a valuable contribution to the field of structural testing.
