Abstract

The article presents an advanced control strategy applied to a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG) wind energy conversion system, implemented under a graphical user interface. It introduces the importance of wind energy as a renewable source and discusses the challenges and limitations of conventional control techniques. The study focuses on the application of robust H∞ control to enhance the stability and performance of wind turbine speed and DC-link voltage. The authors compare the effectiveness of this advanced control technique with traditional PID control, highlighting the superior performance of robust H∞ control in handling parameter variations and ensuring system robustness. The article includes detailed modeling of the wind energy conversion system, control strategies, and simulation results, showcasing the practical benefits of the proposed control method.
