Abstract

The article presents an alternative to the beta regression model using the unit UTW distribution, highlighting its applications in modeling data on the unit interval (0,1). It discusses the limitations of existing models, introduces the unit UTW distribution, and demonstrates its use in regression analysis. The authors provide a detailed comparison with the beta distribution and present real-world data analyses to showcase the advantages of the unit UTW distribution. The article concludes with a discussion on the model's adequacy and potential future applications.
