Abstract

The article discusses the evolution of the power industry and the rise of smart grids, highlighting the need for secure and efficient IoT device authentication. It introduces a chaotic MHT-PUF-based authentication system coupled with the QPBFT consensus algorithm to enhance data security and integrity in smart grid infrastructure. The proposed method leverages the unique properties of PUFs for device authentication and chaotic cryptography for secure data transmission. The QPBFT consensus algorithm ensures reliable and secure data transactions in the blockchain. The article also presents a comprehensive performance analysis comparing the proposed method with existing techniques, demonstrating its superiority in terms of encryption time, decryption time, key generation time, and other critical metrics. The results showcase the proposed method's potential to significantly enhance the security and efficiency of smart grid systems.
