Abstract

The study introduces an innovative method to characterize the adhesion and cohesive toughness of coatings on fibres using scratch tests. It compares the performance of different coatings, including cosmetic varnish and epoxy resin, and evaluates the impact of polymerization techniques on fibre properties. The results are validated through tensile tests, demonstrating the effectiveness of scratch tests in mechanical characterization. The research highlights the importance of coating type and polymerization conditions on fibre performance, offering valuable insights for various industrial applications.
