Abstract

The article explores an innovative hybrid controller-based combined grid-connected hybrid renewable energy system, integrating solar PV, wind energy, and energy storage systems. It discusses the challenges posed by variations in ambient conditions and proposes advanced control strategies to maintain a steady power supply. The hybrid power generating (HPG) system is categorized into grid-connected and stand-alone types, with a focus on optimizing performance and power quality. The proposed method uses a hybrid technique involving a PLL-based VSC controller and D-STATCOM devices to mitigate power quality issues. The article also delves into the modeling of PV and wind systems, battery energy storage, and the implementation of control strategies. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed controller in improving system stability and power quality, making it a compelling read for professionals in the field of renewable energy and power systems.
