Abstract

The chapter delves into the potential of smart glasses as a head-up display (HUD) for motorcyclists, aiming to enhance safety and information delivery. Conducted on a riding simulator, the study compares smart glasses with traditional head-down displays, evaluating response times, mental workload, and the perceived usefulness and obtrusiveness of the displays. The research highlights the advantages of smart glasses in maintaining the motorcyclist's field of view and reducing distraction, offering valuable insights for future developments in motorcycle safety technology.
