Abstract

The article introduces a novel underwater velocity-independent DOA estimation method based on cascaded neural networks, addressing the limitations of traditional algorithms affected by uncertain acoustic velocity. The proposed 1D-BSS-NN algorithm combines blind source separation with cascaded neural networks to estimate acoustic velocity and DOA accurately, outperforming existing methods in terms of estimation accuracy and computational efficiency. Simulation results demonstrate the algorithm's robustness against velocity errors and its superior performance compared to conventional techniques.
