Abstract

The study focuses on the magnetic properties of magnetostrictive FeCoGa thin films deposited on flexible substrates, aiming to enhance the performance of magnetic stress sensors. Utilizing MEMS technology, the researchers designed and fabricated rectangular and dumbbell-shaped thin film patterns on various substrates, including PET, PI, and mica. The analysis revealed that dumbbell-shaped patterns exhibited higher magnetic response sensitivity and better magnetic properties compared to rectangular patterns. The findings indicate that FeCoGa films on PI substrates have the lowest coercivity and highest quality factor, making them ideal for applications requiring reduced energy consumption and ease of magnetization. The study also highlights the practicality of flexible dumbbell-shaped magnetostrictive thin films, offering a promising strategy to enhance the response sensitivity of magnetostrictive devices.
