Abstract

The article discusses the pivotal role of quantum entanglement in various aspects of quantum information processing and the challenges in detecting entanglement using full quantum state tomography. It introduces the use of artificial neural networks (ANNs) to enhance the detection of multipartite entanglement in a three-qubit NMR quantum processor. The study involves generating and training ANN models on numerically simulated three-qubit quantum states and validating them on experimentally prepared states. The authors highlight the significant reduction in the number of features needed for classification, demonstrating that ANNs can achieve high accuracy with as few as four features for genuine multipartite entanglement (GME) detection and six features for SLOCC classification. The results are compared with traditional machine learning methods and other entanglement classification techniques, showcasing the potential of ANNs in simplifying and accurately classifying complex quantum states.
