Abstract

Anthropogenic noise, primarily from traffic, poses significant threats to bird populations, affecting their vocalizations and behavior. This study focuses on four key bird species in the Andean-Patagonian Forest, examining how they modify their vocalizations in response to noise from vehicles, planes, and helicopters. By analyzing bioacoustic parameters before, during, and after noise events, the research reveals species-specific adaptations, such as changes in frequency and duration of vocalizations. These findings underscore the importance of understanding noise pollution's impact on bird communication and ecosystem health.
