Abstract

This chapter delves into the application of 3D modeling to predict metallogenic potential in the Jiaojia Gold Belt of Shandong Province. It begins with a thorough examination of the geological context, including regional stratigraphy, tectonics, and magmatic activity, which provides a foundation for understanding the metallogenic environment. The chapter then outlines the process of creating a 3D geological model, incorporating data from exploration lines, controlled source audio magnetotelluric measurements, and geochemical element combination anomalies. The modeling process involves the use of Surpac software to construct a comprehensive 3D model that includes rock formations, structural elements, alteration zones, and known ore bodies. The chapter also discusses the extraction of metallogenic favorable information and the establishment of a cubic model for quantitative prediction. The results of the 3D modeling and prospecting methods are used to identify favorable areas for gold exploration, with a focus on the Jiaojia major fault zone and its branch faults.
