The article presents a novel application of ethylene-vinyl acetate-graft-2,4,6,8-tetravinyl-2,4,6,8-tetramethylcyclotetrasiloxane (EVA-g-V4) for photovoltaic encapsulation films. The study delves into the grafting reaction mechanism using benzoyl peroxide as an initiator, revealing the successful grafting of vinyl-containing cyclosiloxane onto the EVA backbone. Key findings include enhanced thermal stability, improved mechanical properties such as tensile strength and elongation at break, and superior hydrophobicity due to the introduction of silicon-oxygen bonds.
