Abstract

The article delves into the application of micro blast furnaces in the integrated processing of metallurgical and coal beneficiation wastes. Over the past three decades, the development of blast furnace technologies has led to the creation of larger and more efficient furnaces, but smaller ones have found new life in waste processing. The study focuses on the use of micro blast furnaces to process these wastes, discussing their advantages such as lower energy costs and reduced environmental impact. The effectiveness of a complex equipped with a 70 m³ micro blast furnace is evaluated, highlighting both the benefits and challenges of the process. The article concludes with recommendations for improving the stability of the furnace operation and emphasizes the potential for long-term waste management solutions.
