Application of Robust Parametric Design in the Development of a Quantitative Chemical Analysis Methodology in Metallurgical Production

Abstract

The problem of reducing the variability of characteristics of products (processes) of metallurgical production at the design stage is considered. The results of an experimental study of the quantitative chemical analysis methodology using robust parametric design are presented. An example of experiment planning with parametric design of the methodology for measuring the mass fraction of chlorine in dust waste in the production of ferronickel is given. Based on analyzing experiment results, the optimal conditions for sample preparation for the determination of chlorine in metallurgy were selected. The proposed approach can be in demand in testing laboratories of the metallurgical industry, developing methods for quantitative chemical analysis.
