Abstract

The chapter delves into the application of artificial neural networks (ANN) to predict key physical quantities, namely Nusselt number and skin friction number, for nanofluid flows over an exponentially stretching sheet. It begins with an introduction to carbon nanotubes and their exceptional properties, followed by a detailed mathematical model incorporating electrical magnetohydrodynamics and thermal radiation. The ANN model, specifically a multilayer perceptron network, is designed to handle complex relationships between input parameters and output predictions. The study involves transforming the governing equations into a set of nonlinear ordinary differential equations and solving them using MATLAB. The ANN model is trained and validated using a dataset derived from numerical solutions, demonstrating high accuracy and reliability. The results show that the ANN model can predict the physical quantities with remarkable precision, making it a promising tool for understanding heat and mass transfer in nanofluid flows.
