Abstract

This study delves into the emotional and mental well-being of architecture students at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, highlighting the unique challenges they face and their impact on happiness and depression levels. The research employs the Subjective Happiness Scale and the CES-D Depression Scale to measure students' well-being across different academic years, revealing that while graphical trends suggest variations, statistical analysis shows no significant differences. The study identifies key factors influencing students' happiness, such as peer support, faculty feedback, and co-curricular activities, and proposes targeted interventions to foster a supportive academic environment. Notably, the research underscores the importance of integrating happiness activities like practicing gratitude and acts of kindness into the curriculum. The findings offer valuable insights for educators and mental health professionals seeking to enhance the well-being and academic success of architecture students.
