The
information supply
to crew on nautical ship bridges has a significant impact on the probability of accident occurrences. A reason is, too much or too less information is supplied, not satisfying the
information demand
. A solution to this problem is the Adaptive Ship Bridge - a system that closes this
information gap
between supply and demand by adaptation. However, to create an effective Adaptive Ship Bridge it is necessary to assess the information gap during design time. The thesis introduced in this paper proposes a novel method for assessment in spatio-temporal and information quality dimensions. The method will allow designing Adaptive Ship Bridges that will help to reduce accident risk.
