Abstract

The article delves into the intricate association between modern sexism and demographic and socioeconomic factors, employing advanced machine learning techniques to uncover these relationships. It validates the Modern Sexism Scale (MSS) through Confirmatory Factor Analysis and uses various machine learning models to predict modern sexist attitudes. The ctree model emerges as the best-performing model, revealing that gender is the most influential feature in shaping modern sexist attitudes. The study highlights the significance of demographic and socioeconomic variables in perpetuating gender bias, emphasizing the need for targeted interventions to promote gender equality. The findings underscore the enduring prevalence of gender-based stereotypes and the importance of addressing these biases through informed policies and programs.
