Abstract

The article delves into the innovative application of quantum computing in image processing, specifically focusing on asymmetric scaling of quantum images using bilinear interpolation. It introduces a new method that allows for arbitrary scaling ratios, significantly reducing the complexity from cubic or exponential functions to a quadratic function. The proposed scheme demonstrates superior performance in both subjective visual quality and objective metrics, such as peak signal-to-noise ratio, compared to traditional nearest-neighbor interpolation methods. The paper also includes a comprehensive analysis of the theoretical basis, quantum modules, and simulation results, making it a valuable resource for researchers and practitioners in the field of quantum image processing.
