Polestar has announced the world debut of the Polestar 3 electric performance SUV in October 2022. The launch edition of the Polestar 3 will feature a dual-motor powertrain and a large battery.

Volvo subsidiary Polestar will unveil a new SUV in October 2022. The Polestar 3 electric performance SUV will feature a dual-motor powertrain and a large battery at launch. “With this vehicle, we are bringing ‘sportiness’ back to the SUV, true to our performance roots,” said Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of Polestar. The SUV’s range is said to be over 600 km according to WLTP.
The Polestar 3 is also expected to be capable of autonomous driving on the highway in the future, this will be made possible by Luminar’s Lidar sensor and centralized Nvidia computing power, among other features. The Polestar 3 is expected to be produced in China and the United States starting in 2023. The Swedish electric vehicle manufacturer aims to launch a new vehicle every year for the next three years. Polestar also plans to expand its presence to at least 30 global markets by the end of 2023.
