Abstract

In an era where digital multimedia is ubiquitous, ensuring the security and authenticity of digital images has become paramount. This article presents a groundbreaking approach to digital image watermarking that addresses the challenges of unauthorized distribution, illegal copying, and copyright infringement. The proposed algorithm utilizes bidimensional empirical mode decomposition (BEMD) and Schur decomposition (SD) to create robust watermark carriers, ensuring that embedded information remains undetectable and resilient to common image processing operations. The simplified bivariate generalized t distribution is employed to accurately model the statistical properties of the BEMD-SD domain coefficients, capturing the correlations between different intrinsic mode functions. The article also introduces an entropy threshold edge detection technique to select optimal embedding regions, reducing the probability of positional offsets and enhancing the algorithm's robustness. Extensive experimental results demonstrate the superior performance of the proposed method in terms of imperceptibility, robustness, and watermarking capacity, making it a significant advancement in the field of digital watermarking.
