Abstract

Das erste Kapitel dient der ausführlichen Beschreibung des Werkstoffes Beton, als zentraler Baustoff im Hoch- und Tiefbau. Zunächst werden alle Ausgangsstoffe der Betonherstellung erläutert. Darüber hinaus werden verschiedene Bindemittel vorgestellt und eine Kategorisierung vorgenommen. Weiter werden (rezyklierte) Gesteinskörnung, Zusatzstoffe und Zusatzmittel behandelt sowie ihre Bedeutung für die Frisch- und Festbetoneigenschaften erklärt. Anschließend folgt eine Vorstellung der relevanten Prüfmethoden für Frisch- und Festbetoneigenschaften. Die verschiedenen Expositions-, Feuchtigkeits-, Nutzungs- und Betonbauqualitätsklassen für Beton werden detailliert beschrieben. Ein besonderes Augenmerk liegt auf der Erklärung der schrittweisen Vorgehensweise beim Mischungsentwurf sowie einer Beispielrechnung für Normalbeton.
