Abstract

The article introduces a novel bidding optimization model for energy aggregators participating in the day-ahead energy market, focusing on ensuring the safety of distribution networks. It addresses the challenge of aggregators' bids potentially leading to voltage violations and line congestion, which can result in high deviation penalties and reduced market participation. The proposed model uses the Alternating Direction Method of Multipliers (ADMM) algorithm to balance the bidding ratio deviation among aggregators and optimize their bids while considering the safety constraints of the distribution network. The model is validated through a case study on a modified IEEE33-bus distribution system, demonstrating its effectiveness in maintaining system stability and fairness among aggregators. The article highlights the importance of considering distribution network safety in aggregator bidding strategies, which has been overlooked in previous studies.
