Abstract

The article delves into the potential of phoenix seed oil (PSO) as a feedstock for biodiesel production, highlighting its high acid value after storage. It introduces Eversa Transform 2.0, a novel low-cost liquid lipase, as a catalyst for the transesterification process. The study investigates the effects of reaction variables such as temperature, time, lipase load, and substrate ratio on biodiesel yield. Response surface methodology is employed to optimize these variables, and the reaction kinetics are evaluated. The article concludes with a detailed analysis of the reaction conditions and the catalytic performance of Eversa Transform 2.0, demonstrating its potential for efficient biodiesel production from high acid value PSO.
