Abstract

This chapter presents Bernácer’s biography, going from his modest family environment to his death through his studies and his work on economics even if he was, for his whole life, a physicist at the Graduate School of Commercial Studies in Madrid. Bernácer created and headed the research department of the Bank of Spain for 23 years. Various testimonies from different contemporaneous authors, such as Robertson (Keynes’s colleague at Cambridge), paid tribute to Bernácer’s work.
