A blind image restoration method is proposed to estimate the high resolution image when the point spread function (PSF) of the imaging system is unknown or partially known. Firstly, the Gaussian PSF of the degraded image is estimated through Wavelet transform method. Then, utilizing the estimated PSF, high resolution image is estimated through Wiener filtering image restoration method. In order to justify the influence of PSF estimation on the quality of the restored image, image restoration is performed on different PSF. Experimental results show that the deviation of the Gaussian PSF is estimated with high accuracy, as well as that the PSNR and quality of the estimated image increase around the real PSF.
