Abstract

The chapter delves into the growing issue of copyright infringement in self-published content, highlighting the increasing number of cases and the difficulties faced by creators in protecting their rights. It introduces blockchain technology as a potential solution, emphasizing its features of decentralization, openness, traceability, and immutability. The chapter explores how blockchain can facilitate copyright transactions, ensure the authenticity of evidence, and clarify copyright attribution disputes. It also discusses the legal recognition of blockchain technology in copyright cases and the challenges it presents, such as the immutability of data and the algorithmic black box. The chapter concludes by emphasizing the need for vigilance and reflection on the technology before its widespread adoption in the self-media industry.
