Building the bridge between automotive SW engineering and DevOps approaches for automated driving SW development

In the past two decades, the automotive industry established its own dedicated SW engineering approach, especially for control algorithm based, deeply embedded SW. This approach is based on well-defined SW requirements specifications often taking into account dedicated hardware designs, whereby both are largely fixed at start of development. With the recent developments in the automated driving domain, the industry faces new challenges arising with the introduction of μ Processor based control units and data driven algorithms.
