Abstract

The management of perishable products in the supply chain is taking on worldwide relevance due to the shortage of food that will be presented due to the increase in the world’s population. The bullwhip effect is one of the justifications by which the level of inventories in the chain is increased and therefore also the waste of products. The present research seeks to know the reasons why this phenomenon occurs and the solutions that have been generated so far.
