Abstract

The article explores the critical issue of cadmium extraction from electrodeposition waste in CdS/CdTe solar cell fabrication. It introduces a galvanostatic technique for removing cadmium, using a titanium strip as the cathode and a platinum rod as the anode. The process involves maintaining a constant current and potential between the electrodes, with the pH of the waste solution playing a crucial role in extraction efficiency. The study also analyzes the composition of the extracted material using various spectroscopic techniques. The research aims to establish proper mechanisms for managing cadmium waste, highlighting the importance of reducing environmental contamination from this toxic metal.
