Vehicles continuously detect environmental information with their sensors. In the mobileView research project, which IAV carried out jointly with Emschergenossenschaft and Lippeverband (EGLV) and the Research Institute for Water and Waste Management (FIW) at RWTH Aachen University, the improvement of weather forecasts was investigated. It is not only the water industry that benefits from this - precise forecasts can in turn benefit the data collecting vehicles.
