Abstract

The article explores the challenges of frequency control in power systems with high penetration of renewable energy sources, particularly photovoltaic (PV) plants. It delves into the application of cascaded fractional order controllers, such as TI-TD and PI-PD, to improve system stability and response. The study also incorporates meta-heuristic algorithms like the Mayfly algorithm for controller optimization. Additionally, it addresses the impact of nonlinear effects and cyber-attacks on the power system, providing a thorough analysis of system robustness and resilience. The research highlights the superior performance of the TI-TD controller in various scenarios, offering valuable insights for enhancing power system control strategies.
