Krahn Ceramics has successfully started up its first own production line for ceramic compounds in Hamburg Rothenburgsort. Using modern plant technology, CIM feedstock for injection molding is produced at the site.

Krahn ceramics opens the first production hall.

Krahn Ceramics responds to the growing demand for customized ceramic compounds and strengthens its position as a broad-based technology partner along the value chain. At the same time, Krahn Ceramics is relocating its headquarters to the Hamburg site of the Otto Krahn Group, thus creating synergies with its sister companies.

In the new production hall, Krahn Ceramics manufactures ceramic injection molding compounds by means of powder mixers and shear rolls in larger quantities and realizes innovative projects for its customers. The new production site is an addition to the technical center in Dinslaken, Germany, which was opened in 2020. With the two locations, Krahn Ceramics offers its customers individual formulation support as well as direct, efficient production.

"The successful commissioning of the new production hall is an important step for us to develop Krahn Ceramics into a synonym for individual ceramic solutions. By building up our production, we intend to expand feedstock production in the coming years," explains Dr. Stefan Stolz, Managing Director of Krahn Ceramics. "The further development and production of binders and additives, which serve as the basis for the ceramic feedstocks, among other things, are also on our agenda."
