A 359.9 m kiln and new Sacmi PHC 8200 presses expand Ghani Ceramics’ capacity and support growth in domestic and international markets.
The new FCC large-format kiln and presses increase daily output and enable larger porcelain stoneware formats.
SACMI Imola SC
Sacmi has expanded its partnership with Ghani Ceramics (Pakistan) by supplying a second FCC kiln for large sizes. The kiln measures 359.9 m in length and 2,950 mm in width and is designed for a daily output of 25,000 m² of porcelain stoneware. The new kiln will be fed by two Sacmi PHC 8200 Red Edition presses: compared to the previous generation of machines, these are expected to increase productivity by 20% and reduce consumption.
This project is a key part of Ghani's growth strategy, which looks to expand the product and size ranges for both the domestic and export markets. Integration of the new line – which has higher-tonnage presses and one of Pakistan’s longest roller kilns – is expected to increase both volumes and versatility, with a focus on the 60×120, 75×150, 80×160 and even the 90×180 cm formats.
The new line joins its forerunner, which has been operating successfully at Ghani Ceramics for years (the key technology, provided by Sacmi, included two PHC 4300 presses and a 201 m FCC kiln with an output capacity of 13,000 m²/day). Active in several industries – such as mining, glass, agri-food and construction – the Ghani Group is thus making a decisive investment to strengthen its ceramic division.
