Abstract

The article delves into the disparities between academic theories and practical approaches in organizational change management. It identifies common strategies used by change managers and compares them with those suggested by various models and frameworks. The study reveals that while communication and stakeholder involvement are crucial, there are discrepancies in the frequency of strategy implementation between theory and practice. Notably, the research found that middle management involvement and cultural focus are more emphasized in practice than in theoretical models. This comparison provides valuable insights for both practitioners and theorists, encouraging a closer alignment between academic research and real-world change management strategies.
