Abstract

The chapter delves into the Islamic financial cycle in Indonesia post-pandemic, employing a Markov switching approach to analyze the interplay between Islamic banking, capital market factors, and macroeconomic indicators. It highlights the distinct phases of acceleration and deceleration in the financial cycle, influenced by global economic instability and policy interventions. The study provides valuable insights into the determinants of economic growth, with a focus on the role of Islamic finance in shaping Indonesia's economic trajectory. By examining the impact of factors such as total Islamic bank financing, non-performing financing, and exchange rates, the chapter offers a comprehensive understanding of the Islamic financial cycle and its implications for policy formulation.
